Course Information

ENTERTAINING CLASSICS

From grilling and roasting to baking and smoking, you’ll be amazed at what you can cook using these simple techniques.
Throughout the class, you will be shown how to get the most out of your braai, to prepare anything from roasts to sous vide chicken, from the ultimate pork crackling to puddings! In-depth tuition in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere will inspire you with the confidence and enthusiasm to really expand your WEBER experience.

Using Weber’s lid-on technique on both charcoal and gas barbecues, Chef Tjaart will spend two and a half hours teaching you the best ways to cook a number of braai classics.
As part of this course, you’ll be tasked with creating a part of the classes menu. You will be asked to prepare your own deboned leg of lamb and be taught how to cut and portion a whole salmon trout. We will also demonstrate the famous “beer can chicken”, a great addition to any braai menu.

MASTERCLASS IN ENTERTAINING

This course teaches you how to use the Weber way of cooking to open up a world of braaing possibilities, and covers key skills such as lighting and temperature control. You’ll be learning how to perfect steaks, roasts, pizzas and even cakes!

It is suitable for those who want to learn to cook food in an alternative way. The master-class in entertaining shows you how to use Weber’s renowned “lid-on” barbecue technique to grill, roast, smoke and bake! During the 4 hours, you and your classmates will prepare a variety of different dishes under the guidance of Chef Tjaart. Using a combination of charcoal and gas barbecues, you’ll be taught skills from lighting to controlling temperature and knowing when your food is perfectly cooked. You’ll receive a demonstration from the chef on how to cook the perfect steak and we’ll ask you to get hands-on with some dough and create your own stone baked pizza!
